Yoga: Serenity through union of Body, Mind and Spirit

“I can’t do yoga because I’m not flexible.” This is a comment I hear often, and one I’d like to comment on. If this is you, maybe it is because you are not flexible, that you would most benefit from trying it! I see it often in my classes, and am always amazed at how quickly flexibility improves, even if only attending a class once a week. And although yoga can greatly improve so many aspects of your physical health, such as flexibility, strength, balance, and digestion, there are many other benefits aside from the physical.
Our world today is very fast-paced and demanding for all of us, from children to seniors. Yoga can help to “unplug and reset”, quieting the mind and alleviating stress. These stress relieving skills can equip our children (and ourselves) with skills that will be of lifelong benefit.
I have completed a 500 hour yoga teacher certification, as well as Yoga for the Special Child certification and am currently enrolled in a Pre and Post Natal Yoga Teacher Training. The knowledge I’ve gained through these trainings has equipped me to be able to do a “job" that I love and really don’t even consider a job, but as an opportunity to be able to help people to feel better.
